The purpose of a Growth Group is to connect with other Christians
around the Bible. Encouragement from other Christians,
interaction with biblical truth, and prayer help us apply what we are learning
from the Bible. We grow best spiritually with the help of people who know us
well and love us anyway.
Growth Groups use follow-up questions related to the
weekend sermon. These Growth Tools, found in each weeks bulletin, further explore the topic
of the sermon, increasing our understanding and helping us put truth into
practice. We encourage everyone to hear the weekend message and to answer the
questions in the Growth Tools prior to attending your small group.
Growth Groups meet in homes during the week, and use a
ten-week on, two-week off cycle. This allows many opportunities during the year
for people to join groups, and some flexibility to accommodate busy schedules.
Meetings begin and end on time, lasting about 90 minutes, including fellowship,
discussion and prayer.
We believe every Christian would benefit from being part of a group. We encourage everyone to keep on trying groups until you find one that’s a good fit for you. You can even change groups in the first three weeks if a group just isn’t a good fit. When a group has really connected together, we allow them to stay together. We only ask that they work on developing a leader who can start a new group for new people.
